Mathematical modeling and numerical simulation in stimuli responsive drug delivery systems

Description:  Stimuli responsive drug delivery systems are medical devices that are able to deliver drugs locally in the target tissue in a controlled way and without affecting the healthy tissues. The drugs are encapsulated in nanostructures that able to be safely transported to the target tissue where the drug release takes place enhanced by stimuli.

This talk aims to discuss the mathematical modeling, the numerical challenges and the numerical simulation of drug delivery systems triggered by exogenous stimuli.
