The initial training of mathematics teachers must include some preparation of future teachers in the area of digital technologies, and it is interesting that some of it can help to pedagogically explore applications and mathematical modeling in the classroom. This communication investigates whether the work in initial teacher training with Mathematical Trails based on digital tools has the potential to enter classroom practice when teachers start teaching in their Pedagogical Internship in a school. The work was done with 11 future teachers in a course of initial training and it was then studied what they implemented in the school from their Internship Reports. We concluded that all of them implemented Mathematics Trails in their schools, three of them did not use digital tools and four of them went far beyond what was taught and achieved international recognition for their work.
