Mathematical models in hemorheology: an application.

Description:  In this talk we describe the rheological properties of blood and discuss the main mathematical models used to describe blood flow. As an example of the use of non Newtonian models in blood flow, we show numerical results for a constrained optimization problem arising in the simulation of fluid-particle interactions.
