Mathematics of the 20th century ??? my personal experience in the second half of the century

Description:

Several lines of development will be discussed. For this I shall use the records of the thirty Bonn meetings (Arbeitstagungen) I organized from 1957 to 1991. The topics include  Manifolds: cobordism theory, exotic spheres, ...  Topological methods in algebraic geometry and global analysis.  K-theory and solutions to classical topological problems.  Two highlights in number theory. I shall try to present this in a form suitable for a rather general audience.
