Description: |
Inverse Scattering Problems have a wide range of applications, as radar and sonar, seismology and medical imaging. In this talk we intend to present a brief discussion on some particular inverse scattering problems, focusing on their mathematical formulation and numerical solution through integral equations. We will also refer to some inverse problems in medical imaging and some open optimization problems that arise in the associated image analysis and processing.
