Algebraic geometry with computer algebra

Description:  The goal of the talk is to highlight the usefulness of modern computer algebra tools in the study of more classic algebraic geometry problems. I will give some examples related to my research on Schoen surfaces, Godeaux surfaces and the canonical map of surfaces of general type.
