How to centralize and normalize quandle extensions

Description:  During this talk, we will study different classes of quandle homomorphisms defined with respect to a fundamental reflection of the category of quandles into its full subcategory of trivial quandles. I will recall the notion of a central extension and of a normal extension coming from categorical Galois theory. After having given their characterizations in the context of the previous adjunction, I will explain how one can centralize (or normalize) any extension of quandles, that is how one can find a left adjoint to the inclusion of the category of central (or of normal) extensions into the category of extensions. This is joint work with V. Even and A. Montoli.
