Geometric Quantum Mechanics and applications

Description:  We can notice that the approaches to Classical and Quantum Mechanics are quite different in many aspects, the most striking one being the linear structure which is present in the Hilbert space H and which is considered usually as one of the most relevant aspects of the formalism. There are also suggestive similarities, but they have been approached mainly from the algebraic point of view. Our goal in this seminar is to describe an alternative description of Quantum Mechanics which is formally analogue to the description of nonrelativistic Classical Mechanics from a geometrical perspective. We will also discuss the main advantages of this new approach, and the most significative differences.
