Geometry of mechanical systems with constraints and impacts

Description:  In this talk I will discuss some of the general theory of mechanical (Lagrangian and Hamiltonian) system on manifolds and in particular discuss how the dynamics is affected when there are nonholonomic (nonintegrable) constraints and impacts. I will discuss conservation laws, conservation of measure and qualitative aspects of the dynamics in these settings.
