Introduction to causal analysis

Description:  Researchers in many areas where only observational data are available often face the challenge of assessing the effect of the treatment on the outcome.  Within a framework of traditional statistical analysis of multivariate data, only different measures of association are available. And, as popular aphorism asserts, correlation does not imply causation. However, the causal link of variables is often more interesting than just correlation. To target the causal questions, the presentation will introduce modern causal inference methods. Application in the area of the sales promotion will be demonstrated.
