The workshop will be held at the Department of Mathematics, University of Coimbra, Portugal. Its purpose is to bring together researchers working on matrix analysis and operator theory, special emphasis being given to applications in other areas of Science. One of the main goals is to highlight recent achievements in this mathematical domain.
The workshop will provide a friendly atmosphere for the discussion and exchange of ideas, which hopefully will lead to new scientific links among participants.
Professor Abraham Berman (Department of Mathematics, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Israel) will deliver the opening lecture. Excluding this conference, the timetable will consist of 20 minute talks, with 5 extra minutes for discussion.
